Parenting is a challenging task just in itself. Each child is unique in his or her way and it definitely takes love and patience to raise any child. Raising a child with special needs takes even more grace, knowledge and special skills that you can only learn as you go along. It's one of the toughest things in life, I think, because it can be an emotional roller coaster ride at times.
I don't have personal experience myself with parenting a special needs child. But, I have seen my sister and brother-in-law raise three boys, two of whom have special needs. And, I have really admired how they have handled the ups and downs of life.
